American bakeries range from wholesale operations that supply restaurants to neighborhood shops that sell bread, pastries, cookies and cakes over the counter, and many of them also pour coffee. Bagel shops boil and bake on site and sell out of favorite flavors by late morning; donut shops open before dawn and are often family-run; patisseries and cake studios take custom orders for weddings and birthdays and usually need one to two weeks' notice. Ice cream parlors, gelato shops and frozen yogurt bars are seasonal in the northern states and year-round in the South and on the West Coast. Clovis is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Clovis is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

My wife and I have been wanting to try this place for a while now, and it did not disappoint. The relaxed but authentic French atmosphere drew us in and the delicious food will ensure we return. I cannot wait to further explore the menu, especially the desserts. I would give this place six stars if I could.

Such a cute little bakery!! I love to order the crème du fromage, but the tuna sandwiches also taste amazing. Staff has always been very nice and the decor is super cute, but seating indoors is limited so try to go during “off” times.

If you’re looking for authentic French pastries, this is the place to go. From the moment you walk in, you’ll find a charming atmosphere and a beautiful display of freshly made pastries and baked goods. One of my favorite things is that you can watch the pastry chefs at work through the window. It’s a wonderful reminder that everything is made with care and attention to detail. The quiches are delicious, the macarons are amazing, and the pain au chocolat and croissants are absolutely outstanding. And if you haven’t tried the crêpes yet, don’t miss them, they are fantastic! This bakery is always busy, which says a lot about the quality and the experience. If you’re craving authentic French flavors and a true Parisian bakery experience, I highly recommend stopping by The Parisian Bakery. It’s one of those places you’ll want to visit again and again. 🥐☕️🇫🇷

Beautiful café with delicious pastries and coffee. We were in town to visit family and found this cute café just outside of our hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful with any questions, with quick service.

Parisien Bakery is, without question, one of the finest bakery and café experiences in Clovis. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere, presentation, and attention to detail clearly signal a commitment to quality and authenticity. The espresso is outstanding and easily the best in town in my opinion. It genuinely rivals what you would expect in Italy: rich, balanced, and perfectly extracted. For coffee lovers, this alone makes Parisien Bakery a destination. The bakery selection is impressive, and everything looks and tastes exceptional. I personally tried the Nutella donut, which was indulgent without being overly sweet, and the ham and cheese croissant, which was perfectly flaky, buttery, and generously filled. Both items reflect true craftsmanship and high-quality ingredients. Beyond the food, the space is welcoming and thoughtfully designed, with a European feel that makes it ideal for a relaxed breakfast, a coffee break, or a casual meeting. Service is friendly, efficient, and consistently professional. Bottom line: Parisien Bakery sets a high standard for Clovis. Exceptional coffee, authentic pastries, and a refined yet approachable experience. Highly recommended—and a
